Julia Roberts continued her real estate switch-up with her most recent Malibu estate sale. According to The Los Angeles Times, she purchased the property for $6.84 Million during an off-season sale in 2015. Now, the celebrity has sold the three-bedroom dwelling for $8 Million. The deal reportedly used the same trust that she used in acquiring a 100-year-old San Francisco Victorian home earlier this year.
Although there aren’t a lot of details about the purchase, it is known that the house she just sold is situated on an approximately one-acre lot right across the street from her home in the Point Dume area. Check out more of its features down below!
A Beach Getaway
The Malibu property has an open grassy field, lush gardens, and a riding ring, which can be reached through a gated entry. As an informal beach bungalow, it doesn’t really have a traditional front door, so guests are expected to enter from the sliding door that opens right into the casual dining room.
The sunny abode also has a bright kitchen that contains high-quality stainless steel appliances. Other highlights of this 1,770-square-foot home are its wooden floors and bare beam ceilings. Plus, it also has a living room with a stone furnace.
What’s Special About This Malibu Home?
The real value of the property is its location. This pancake-shaped house is fully horizontal, with vast lawn areas and a higher border for privacy. A splendid splash of bougainvillea abounds, and there are relaxing areas for private and outdoor spaces such as reading, relishing life, or enjoying a romantic time with a summer lover.
You’ll be shocked to know, though, that the couple wasn’t able to live in their recently sold house, even for a night. Also, as we mentioned, the Malibu residence is just across the street from the other beach house that the Academy Award-winner and her spouse, Danny Moder, bought for $9.5 million back in 2003.
Julia Roberts Is A Pro At Real Estate
The Pretty Woman star has slain the real estate game for quite a while now, and she owns yet another residence in the beachfront domain, a one-story ranch-style home worth $3.895 million. The three-bedrooms, one-bathroom abode, which she has put up for rent at $10,000 per month, leads to the secluded beach called Little Dume.
On top of her Malibu estates and the $8.3 million Victorian home in San Francisco, Roberts also owns a private ranch in Taos, New Mexico. She has a multi-acre holiday house in Hawaii, as well.
