But body searches can get a little awkward, especially if you've been earmarked for a cavity search, which can occur upon arrival. Luckily this isn't a cavity search, and fortunately, this airport has followed protocol by having a woman on hand to search female travelers. Otherwise, this essential part of the search would have been awkward.

Of course, while airport shoeshine stalls might be suffering because of people's less formal approach to travel, some people still believe in not leaving home without looking their best. Even if they're going on a 20-hour flight with a layover in two countries. Take this rather model-looking young lady, who seems to be turning many heads in this airport (while other heads are trying very hard not to turn) in her skintight dress. With her overnight bag on her arm and her luggage in tow, it seems that she's headed for a long flight. Let's hope there's a comfy change of clothing in there!

Well, this is one way of ensuring you don't get kidnapped while sleeping at the airport. Whether it's due to flight delays, overbooking, or a layover, you may need to sleep at the airport. This is especially true for tourists who may not have the budget to book an extra night's accommodation. While it's unclear how easy this position is to get into, it doesn't look easy to get out of. So hopefully, this person set an alarm to wake up before their flight. If they're late, the time it takes to get out of this position could result in them missing their flight and spending another night sleeping at the airport!

An airport is a place full of emotions. Some are sad to leave their loved ones, exhausted from multiple flights, hungry and irritated, and all of them combined usually makes them sleepy. Well, those who get the joke are bursting with laughter, but the others might be running for their lives. The captain here is wearing sunglasses and carrying a white cane—all of which suggests that he is blind. Obviously, he isn't because that would cost thousands of people their lives by the time he retires. Who'd want to board an aircraft flown by a blind pilot? Not us. Earlier on this list, we saw a dad entertaining his daughter by taking her on a piggy-back ride on his suitcase. Well, this father might have taken a leaf out of his parenting book because he seems to be doing the same -- except the kid isn't conscious enough to enjoy the ride. Flights can be exhausting and this little girl has had enough. The dad is pretty smart if you ask us. Instead of carrying his child with one hand, and two bags with the other, he threw his child over the suitcase -- talk about killing two birds with one stone! It has surely caught the eye of every passerby.

Custom-printing isn't much of a big deal in an age where printers are a staple in every office. Printing has been around for a while now, starting on paper and slowly moving to things like mugs and t-shirts, but some people have taken this trend way too far.

It looks like this pilot took the advice quite literally. We genuinely hope that this photo was edited in some way because if it isn't, that child could be scarred for life. You don't have to look too close to realize that the person in the green dress is struggling with their boarding pass—not because there's a misspelled name or an error with the flight details. This is going to be a tough one to explain to the kids.  A Constraint On Showing Emotion

If you are ever at Aalborg Airport in Denmark, you must look for this sign that went viral on the internet a few years ago. Airports usually see a lot of sad goodbyes and exciting hellos, which come in the shape of hugs and kisses. It's not that the Danish are blind to emotion, but there's a constraint on how long one can express them (at least at the airport). In this "kiss and goodbye" zone, kisses cannot last longer than three minutes. We're not sure if there's a timekeeper, but you have to play by the rules when in a foreign land.

Made With Love But Reeks Of Embarrassment

These three kids are super sweet as they cared enough about their grandmother to go through all this trouble and make a "Welcome Home" sign for her. Somehow, we doubt if she will appreciate their efforts in this case. While it's a very creative and artistic signboard, the information provided on it might be a bit much. No one else had to know their grandmother was coming home from rehab after 17 days of sobriety. Plus, their words of encouragement are those that a grandparent would use on their grandkids rather than the other way around. Hopefully, the embarrassment didn't trigger a relapse.

Another Case Of TMI

Given this kid's age, we can't expect a lot of creativity from his "Welcome Home" sign like the previous one. However, we suspect there's a little too much information in here that could make people roll their eyes at the mom. Well, a moment of epic embarrassment was in store for her. As much as the mother would be delighted to see her little boy after months or even years away in prison, we're not sure if she'd be thrilled about the sign. But it's the thought that counts, right?

Man's Got The Moves

The money may not be great, but oftentimes, lower-level employees tend to enjoy their jobs a lot more than their superiors do. Take this airline employee, for example. He is dancing like no one's watching although, this video ended up going viral for millions of people to see. Perhaps he was putting on a show for the passengers of a flight that was about to take off. Looking at his moves, we're wondering why he hasn't made a career switch to dancing. He isn't the first airline worker to break into a dance on duty to show the world how important it is to enjoy your work.

Taking Advantage Of The Auto Walk

This is what happens when you go to the airport to catch a flight with your silly best friends. Instead, you end up pretending to be a bicycle on the moving walkway at the airport. Somehow, we should applaud these young men's' creativity. It may look like there are only three men, but if you look closely, there's also one laying down, contributing his hands as the pedals on the bicycle. We're sure these young men had some great fun, and gave the bystanders something to giggle about.

What you see here is the rowing team of the Bishop's Kelly High School, having some fun at the Chicago airport. It sure looks like they are clocking in a few extra hours of training before the competition with the resources available at the airport. In this case, the auto walk is all they need. Since it moves, the travelator gives the illusion of the boys actually rowing. We have to admit, it's pretty great to see all these youngsters enjoying the best years of their lives with harmless jokes. We hope they won their game.

A Dad Taking Good Care Of His Daughters At The Boarding Gate

There's a saying that goes, "a daughter is a mother's best friend." Judging by this photo, that isn't the case for a father. This man picked the wrong place to fall asleep, especially knowing that his daughters had sticker cards with them. As you can see, they've turned their dad into a masterpiece by putting stickers all over his arms. In a way, the man is lucky he wasn't woken up by security because of all the littering this project might have caused. Also, we hope the mother was around because the father seems to be in a deep sleep, not in a position to take care of his daughters.

Transitting And Camping In One

Layovers are already annoying as they are (unless you're a business traveller), but its worse when the wait time is more than a few hours. The longest transits can go up to a whole day, and not many people can afford to stay at the airport hotels. This person improvised by bringing a camping tent with them to make their layover more comfortable. If you can do it in the great outdoors, why not at the airport? Plus, they were smart enough to set it up close to a charging station with access to a power outlet. Impressive!

The Perfect Bag For The Perfect Place

According to Reddit, this picture was snapped at an airport in Taipei. At first glance, you might not notice anything out of the ordinary in it. However, if you take a closer look at the bag on the woman's shoulder, you'll read, "this bag contains a gun, a bomb, a very large knife, and loads of drugs." Our first thought was that this woman probably doesn't know what it says, considering Taipei isn't an English-speaking country. Either way, the airport security must have dug through her belongings quite intensely because they can't take a chance laughing it off.

It's no secret that women need more luggage space for a two-day trip than a man would for a whole week. Someone on the internet thought this photo would hilariously depict that when in reality, this is the airport handling the baggage of the travelers. Of course, we've never seen anything like it before. But the suitcases are somehow piled up to the roof and are hanging by a thread. It couldn't have been safe for those around to stand very close to this baggage cart. Hopefully, it was resolved before anyone got hurt.

New Human Scanner At The Airport?

It's pretty easy to assume from this misleading image that these security officers are forcing a rather large person through a luggage scanner. You might also be inclined to think that this airport actually got a new full-body human scanner that requires people to lie down, instead of the plain old ones you could just walk through. It can't be either. We're guessing there was a technical error with the luggage scanner, and the officers summoned the technician to repair it. Well, that makes more sense than the bizarre thought of putting a human in a luggage scanner.

Whoever was behind this signboard was either on their last day at work or was willingly walking to their deaths. What you see on the screen here is definitely not an example of an official announcement, but rather a message mixed with some Beastie Boys' hip hop vibes. Wait, did the band break into the control room of the airport? Just kidding. While this may have been a funny sight for some passengers, not everyone enjoys sarcasm. We assume whoever did this no longer works at the airport.

Have you ever taken a flight during which you asked for an extra bag of peanuts, and the flight attendant responds saying they've run out? Well, now you know who has been eating your peanuts. Somehow, these two guys look like they're enjoying a full meal before stocking the food into the flight. We're guessing this isn't a part of their job description, but no one can work effectively when hungry. It seems like these men also contribute to flight delays sometimes. Hopefully, they didn't get fired after the bosses saw this photo.

If you are a gym-addict who doesn't miss a day of workouts, going on holiday may be a bit off-putting. Well, this guy wasn't ready to give up his workouts just because he had to spend a few extra hours at the airport due to a delay. Pilots are too cool for school. And it doesn't matter whether they're the Tom Cruise in Top Gun kind or John Travolta in Look Who's Talking Now kind. Just look at this pilot leaning out of his cockpit window to get a selfie with the man-made Palm Island archipelago off the coast of Dubai. Isn't it just incredible? But is it safe to open a cockpit window mid-flight? Well, apparently, it is at a low altitude and with a depressurized cabin. As a matter of fact, the reason these windows open is to provide an emergency escape route for pilots.

Anything To Keep The Little Ones Quiet

Airports are one of the most common places to spot kids throwing a tantrum or having a full-blown meltdown before they've even boarded the plane. It's a pretty common occurrence for parents to lug their kids around with the bags, which is way better than being around a grumpy, screaming, and crying child.

The most common spot for stowing away is in the wheels. As a matter of fact, it's happened so often that it has its own Wikipedia page. He naturalized there in 1958 and married.

Reporting For Booty Ma'am

Being a part of the US Armed Forces is a major honor for Americans. It's much more than a Noddy badge and is a reason to be respected. But it's also a hard job, going towards the danger and leaving loved ones behind, for sometimes indefinite periods. This is probably why Mrs. Neal in the picture is so demanding with her poster... she must have really missed her man. Meanwhile, Mr. Neal must have gotten a good deal on his flight home, considering he has options on some great flight and accommodation deals thanks to his status as a member of the US Armed Forces.

The Solution for Flying During the COVID-19 Pandemic?

When the COVID-19 pandemic hit and the entire world came to a standstill, the biggest industry affected was probably the travel industry. Even major companies like Virgin Atlantic tried to file for bankruptcy because it couldn't take the hit that all the travel bans were causing. This seems like a great solution to keep safe while traveling. With all possible infection points covered, he could easily have pitched this as a countermeasure to the threats of the coronavirus. The only problem is, he's going to have to scratch sooner or later.

This image may seem weird, but it's not uncommon for people to bring support animals on flights. But while blind people have guide dogs, what purpose does a falcon serve? In the United Arab Emirates, the falcon is the national bird and a symbol of strength and hope. They are also ideal hunting animals. Emiratis often take falcons on flights with them, and it's actually pretty common to find flights that allow falcons. There is a catch. They're mostly for domestic flights to other Arab states, and certain airlines have rules for the number of falcons, how they are transported, and where they can be in the cabin.

Even though you know that traveling as light as you can is a handy way to get through those crowded check-in queues at the airport, some people just can't help but max out on their baggage limit. Carrying a whole human being in a suitcase is not only exceeding your carrier weight allowance but is illegal.

Ah yes, the Mile High Club. How can we do a story about airports and airplanes and not mention the most prestigious social club in flying circles? Of course, this isn't saying anything about the flight attendant in the image; she is just pulling a very alluring pose. Plus, she's pretty much off the hook since a 2010 survey indicated that only 3% of Americans claim to have been intimate with an airline staff member mid-flight. Just like what happened in this aircraft - it seems it got too slippery and the pilot had a little bit of a detour (perhaps, the pilot needs more training?). Leaving your kids for a business trip, instead of an all-inclusive vacation, can be hard enough, but that doesn't mean all will be peachy upon your return. Let’s be honest, why would you still look for cheap hotel rooms if you can just build your own one inside the airport? Hands down for this guy being resourceful and all amidst flight delays. So, why not right? That’s an instant accommodation right over there.

When Inspection Gets Suspicious

Surprisingly, luggage isn’t the only thing that passes the airport X-ray machine. We know waiting in line could be the worst thing and it gets even worse when you’re waiting outside for your plane and its nowhere to be seen. We’re thinking of all the possible scenarios here. Probably, a Snakes On A Plane kind of scenario or the plane is simply under repair. The only question here is, why are they waiting outside?! But then again, most of them might be saying to themselves -"This is what I get for booking the cheapest last-minute flights!"

This is probably the first time that airport personnel put the right sign in the restroom area, don’t you think? Sometimes, when that weight loss supplement hits you at an unfortunate time, that’s just the right sign. So this is why that alien invasion hasn't been happening. Because instead of being taken to our leader, the aliens are being taken to these shoe shiners. They leave happy, with shiny armor, and don't feel the need to invade and make us their slaves. It's a win-win. But it appears that our last defense against alien invasion is in danger of being wiped out because people aren't dressing up for travel anymore. According to an article in USA Today, people are becoming more informal about travel and not wearing shiny shoes. Domestic flights could be different, though, since business travelers often still dress up.

Checking Everywhere

Heads up, if you’re hiding something inside your clothes (like keys, bank account passbook, etc), think about that for a second as they have a strict checking procedure. However, if you have great legs or a fit body, this might be the reason for this strict procedure. Kidding aside, these are mandatory checks for your safety.

Sometimes, there are scenarios in the airport where it seems like it’s from a movie. In this photo, we can’t help but wonder what these two ladies are discussing. One thing is sure, this airport personnel is giving her full attention to the nice old lady who's perhaps asking her some things - like maybe what hotels in the Key West could she recommend...

Cracking Some Bones

This is an example of how strict the airport checking procedure is. Actually, it looks like the personnel is giving him a massage therapy session instead of a check. Again, they really deserve much praise for providing this strict procedure for our safety.

Penguins Can Fly

Before you say penguins can’t fly, yes, we know but they can fly through an airplane. This penguin and a few more were saved from poachers by animal rescue and they flew from England to South Africa. Everyone in the plane loved them, as you can see, even the pilot is all smiles with one of them. Well, it’s not every day you get to have a penguin as a passenger.

The Irony in Airport Ads

Did you check that luggage of yours? You have to or else if they found something inside, we don’t think your travel insurance would cover that. Just follow that ad and declare everything inside. Like this luggage pictured above, it seems that there’s something inside...

Parking Problems

We think we’ve just figured out why NWA filed for bankruptcy. It probably started with a simple problem of parking. Passengers wouldn’t like to ride an airplane with a pilot who doesn’t know how to park. That’s a big no-no for us.

Too Tired To Move

There’s another guy on the list who, again, sacrificed his comfort and didn’t try his luck with hotel discounts. Well, maybe he did try, but he was probably too drunk or tired to move. Think about it though, he just gave us a new way of using the moving walkway.

No Durians

Durian, an Asian fruit, is commonly banned from airports, luxury hotels, taxis, and subways because of its distinctly pungent smell. Now, in this airport pictured above, they even made a specific signage prohibiting the fruit! We can’t blame them, something that smelly would probably annoy everyone inside an airplane. A big no-no!

Best Luggage So Far!

Here's a better alternative for lazy people, people on a wheelchair or perhaps someone who just want to claim your luggage faster. We found this photo of a guy with an electric luggage with wheels in the airport. This will definitely save us a lot of time. Now, just tell us where we can buy one!

Darth Vader’s Arrival

Have you seen every full movie of Star Wars? If yes, then you will definitely love this one. When Star Wars day is near, fans prepare the most bizarre way to celebrate the important day. However, these fans took it to the next level as there exists no law on forbidding anyone to dress in costumes. Without thinking much about the money to be spent, they came in at Denver International Airport dressed as Stormtroopers and Darth Vader. The Stormtroopers held a signage welcoming Darth Vader at the airport.

Dangerous, Obviously!

This particular signage warns people to stay away from arriving and departing aircraft even if it’s obviously dangerous. This signage was seen at St. Maarten’s Princess Juliana Airport and many people find it hilarious. We found it amusing too, however, reports say a woman died recently because of the powerful blast from the plane. Well, that’s enough reason for you to take the sign seriously especially if you don’t own a travel insurance.

Pet-friendly Indeed

Most places don’t allow us to bring our furry friends and we’re more used to signs that prohibit them. Well, that’s not the case for San Diego airport as animal care is also one of their utmost priorities. In fact, they put up a designated area for our little buddies and called it pet relief. Isn’t that adorable? It’s great that they also have an area for their relief after or before a long flight.

It Was A Gift From My Mom

This guy thought of a better security system for his luggage – by printing his face on it. Also, it probably helped him look for his luggage faster. Admit it or not, it’s very creative and original. Well, if you have a suitcase with your face on it, burglars would probably find it hilarious and move on to their next target.

Fitness First

It's a bummer when you have to miss your fitness routine for a flight. Well, for this guy, he decided to burn down sometime (and calories) by doing yoga at the airport. Experts really recommend keeping your body active if your flight would take some time. We think yoga is just the perfect solution for that.
