Feeling A Little Frisky
Over the years, and especially since the turn of the century, airport security has become some of the tightest in the world. Sometimes tighter even than some government institutes. This is as much about anti-terrorism measures as it is for anti-smuggling and trafficking purposes. But body searches can get a little awkward, especially if you've been earmarked for a cavity search, which can occur upon arrival. Luckily this isn't a cavity search, and fortunately, this airport has followed protocol by having a woman on hand to search female travelers. Otherwise, this essential part of the search would have been awkward.
Never Go Anywhere Without Looking Your Best
Of course, while airport shoeshine stalls might be suffering because of people's less formal approach to travel, some people still believe in not leaving home without looking their best. Even if they're going on a 20-hour flight with a layover in two countries. Take this rather model-looking young lady, who seems to be turning many heads in this airport (while other heads are trying very hard not to turn) in her skintight dress. With her overnight bag on her arm and her luggage in tow, it seems that she's headed for a long flight. Let's hope there's a comfy change of clothing in there!
The Safest Way To Sleep At The Airport
Well, this is one way of ensuring you don't get kidnapped while sleeping at the airport. Whether it's due to flight delays, overbooking, or a layover, you may need to sleep at the airport. This is especially true for tourists who may not have the budget to book an extra night's accommodation. While it's unclear how easy this position is to get into, it doesn't look easy to get out of. So hopefully, this person set an alarm to wake up before their flight. If they're late, the time it takes to get out of this position could result in them missing their flight and spending another night sleeping at the airport!
Traveling With A Nap Buddy
An airport is a place full of emotions. Some are sad to leave their loved ones, exhausted from multiple flights, hungry and irritated, and all of them combined usually makes them sleepy. Let's be honest. A neck pillow isn't the most useful thing for a nap at the airport. Luckily for this couple, they had each other to lean on for a comfortable nap. They couldn't care less about how others would see them. All that mattered was clocking in a few hours of sleep before the next flight. And to be honest, they look like they're having a comfortable nap.
Harmless Prank At The Airport
Kids these days can't go a minute without a phone, tablet, or a play station in their hands. These technological devices have now become a necessity rather than a luxury, especially on an airport where you need some form of entertainment to kill time. This kid either forgot to charge his phone before leaving the house or is out of battery before even boarding the flight which is why he is trying his best to plug the adapter into a solid wall. It took him a few unsuccessful attempts to realize that it was not a real power outlet but a sticker on the wall. Who'd play such a mean prank on a kid?
It's A Plane You DON'T Want To Board
Here, you can see a pilot having some harmless fun by making his colleagues and passengers laugh. Well, those who get the joke are bursting with laughter, but the others might be running for their lives. The captain here is wearing sunglasses and carrying a white cane—all of which suggests that he is blind. Obviously, he isn't because that would cost thousands of people their lives by the time he retires. Who'd want to board an aircraft flown by a blind pilot? Not us. Hopefully, the airline didn't receive any complaints due to this innocent joke.
Fast Asleep On The Hand Carrier
Earlier on this list, we saw a dad entertaining his daughter by taking her on a piggy-back ride on his suitcase. Well, this father might have taken a leaf out of his parenting book because he seems to be doing the same -- except the kid isn't conscious enough to enjoy the ride. Flights can be exhausting and this little girl has had enough. The dad is pretty smart if you ask us. Instead of carrying his child with one hand, and two bags with the other, he threw his child over the suitcase -- talk about killing two birds with one stone! It has surely caught the eye of every passerby.
Self-Obsession Level = 100%
Custom-printing isn't much of a big deal in an age where printers are a staple in every office. Printing has been around for a while now, starting on paper and slowly moving to things like mugs and t-shirts, but some people have taken this trend way too far.
When the photo of this woman carrying a hardshell suitcase with her face printed on it came to the internet, we knew things had gravely escalated from mugs. It's one thing to print a family photo, a child's picture, or a pet onto your suitcase, but putting a close-up of your own face is a bit much, if you ask us. We guess it's safe to assume she is completely obsessed with herself -- a little bit of self-love never hurts anyone.
When You Meet Your Soul Brother At The Airport
Everyone who has family living thousands of miles away yearns to go back to them for the holidays. Some of them may even be seeing their relatives after years. Do you know that fun cousin everyone has who only shows up for big family gatherings? The two guys in the picture above are them, except they took the holiday spirit a little too far. Funnily, though, they are not brothers, cousins, or even friends. These two are kindred spirits who randomly met each other at the airport wearing similar costumes. Looking at their faces, they couldn't be happier.
Just Picking Up My Luggage
Giving new meaning to the term traveling light, this person looks like they aren't expecting to wear anything but that crazy costume. That is a nifty suit, though: when he's done prancing around like a fish, he can take off the head and go out on the town looking like Jack Skellington from The Nightmare Before Christmas. We wonder how much transporting that fish head cost this guy. That thing clearly was way over the required check-in luggage size of 62 linear inches, meaning he would have had to pay extra to check it in. Ah, well, guess we know why he didn't have any other baggage!
Bring Your Child To Work Day
This is what happens when your parent is a pilot, and it's "take your child to work day." You know how they say that parents play an important role in taking their children to greater heights. It looks like this pilot took the advice quite literally. We genuinely hope that this photo was edited in some way because if it isn't, that child could be scarred for life. You can see the terror on his face as he realizes that his life could be in danger. If it's not edited, it better be a virtual reality cockpit, with a child who knows how to pose!
When You Confide In A Friend To Print Your Boarding Pass
The photo above was captured in 2018 at Belfast International Airport. You don't have to look too close to realize that the person in the green dress is struggling with their boarding pass—not because there's a misspelled name or an error with the flight details. But because his boarding pass is so big that the barcode won't even fit the scanner. This is what happens when you ask your sarcastic friend to print your boarding pass. If this really was a prank, his unusual airport attire (spaghetti strapped dress and fishnet stockings) will also make more sense.
When You Find A Precious Stick During Your Trip
Bringing back souvenirs from a memorable trip isn't an unusual occurrence. As children, we've all collected things like corals from a beach, pebbles from a lake -- or in this case, a stick from a jungle. It's definitely a strange memento to carry with you while traveling, but we really hope it belonged to a child who threw a tantrum at the airport asking for this stick to be taken home instead of an adult. Either way, the airport crew would have to be extra cautious as to not damage or lose it.
The Perfect Place To Flaunt Your Ballet Skills
An airport is a busy and stressful place where anything bad can happen. People often lose their luggage, miss their flights, or face severe delays. This is exactly what happened to Santa Barbara's State Street Ballet troupe who were on tour doing the Nutcracker when they learned that they'd be stuck at Denver International Airport for five extra hours due to an unexpected delay. Well, the troupe wasn't about to let the bad news ruin the day. Instead, they began performing their routine on the auto walk at the airport, entertaining not only themselves but also the bystanders. Aren't they a happy bunch?
Just A Tiny Souvenir
When most people think about getting a souvenir from their summer vacation, they refer to a small trinket, a pack of exotic snacks, and maybe a cool Instagram photo from the infinity swimming pool of their luxury hotel. Not so much this guy, who took the whole fond memories thing to a whole new level. Nothing says "forget-me-not" like a granite statue, does it now?
When You Don't Want To Lose Your Carry-On Luggage
Every school has an overly protective kid who labels every piece of stationery they own in case they lose it. If you've ever wondered how they turn out as grown-ups, here's a picture that speaks a thousand words. This man has probably lost his carry-on luggage a few too many times while traveling, which is why he customized the next suitcase with his photo printed on it. That's the best identity your carrier can have, isn't it? In his defense, it could've been a gift from a loved one that he couldn't say no to. Either way, it's not the worst thing you'll see on this list.
When Your Mom Chooses The Clothes Vs. When You Pick Your Clothes
These fully suited men in hats are leaning over the railing, engaging in a casual conversation, but everyone on the opposite side is certainly having a good laugh—granted that this photo wasn't staged, of course. However, due to the banner on the railing, it looks like the gentleman in the middle forgot to put his pants on when getting dressed for the airport. He appears to be rocking a feathered scarf under his expensive jacket, paired with a bright red bikini bottom. It doesn't stop there. The man on the right looks like he's about to kick the middle one. This is too funny to be a coincidence!
Looks Like Santa Is In The Naughty List
This is going to be a tough one to explain to the kids. Santa could simply be visiting the airport to spread some Christmas joy among the travelers, or maybe the raindeers took the day off so he can't use his sledge to fly down people's chimneys. For all we know, he could be taking advantage of a cheap flight deal to finish delivering the gifts and go back to Mrs. Claus on time for Christmas. Either way, Santa looks like he made it to the naughty list of airport security and is in trouble this year. Did he try to sneak past some unconventional gifts? Judging by the security personnel around him, Santa will be there for a while.
A Constraint On Showing Emotion
If you are ever at Aalborg Airport in Denmark, you must look for this sign that went viral on the internet a few years ago. Airports usually see a lot of sad goodbyes and exciting hellos, which come in the shape of hugs and kisses. It's not that the Danish are blind to emotion, but there's a constraint on how long one can express them (at least at the airport). In this "kiss and goodbye" zone, kisses cannot last longer than three minutes. We're not sure if there's a timekeeper, but you have to play by the rules when in a foreign land.
Made With Love But Reeks Of Embarrassment
These three kids are super sweet as they cared enough about their grandmother to go through all this trouble and make a "Welcome Home" sign for her. Somehow, we doubt if she will appreciate their efforts in this case. While it's a very creative and artistic signboard, the information provided on it might be a bit much. No one else had to know their grandmother was coming home from rehab after 17 days of sobriety. Plus, their words of encouragement are those that a grandparent would use on their grandkids rather than the other way around. Hopefully, the embarrassment didn't trigger a relapse.
Another Case Of TMI
Given this kid's age, we can't expect a lot of creativity from his "Welcome Home" sign like the previous one. However, we suspect there's a little too much information in here that could make people roll their eyes at the mom. Well, a moment of epic embarrassment was in store for her. As much as the mother would be delighted to see her little boy after months or even years away in prison, we're not sure if she'd be thrilled about the sign. But it's the thought that counts, right?
Man's Got The Moves
The money may not be great, but oftentimes, lower-level employees tend to enjoy their jobs a lot more than their superiors do. Take this airline employee, for example. He is dancing like no one's watching although, this video ended up going viral for millions of people to see. Perhaps he was putting on a show for the passengers of a flight that was about to take off. Looking at his moves, we're wondering why he hasn't made a career switch to dancing. He isn't the first airline worker to break into a dance on duty to show the world how important it is to enjoy your work.
Taking Advantage Of The Auto Walk
This is what happens when you go to the airport to catch a flight with your silly best friends. Instead, you end up pretending to be a bicycle on the moving walkway at the airport. Somehow, we should applaud these young men's' creativity. It may look like there are only three men, but if you look closely, there's also one laying down, contributing his hands as the pedals on the bicycle. We're sure these young men had some great fun, and gave the bystanders something to giggle about.
Oh To Be Young And Hilarious
What you see here is the rowing team of the Bishop's Kelly High School, having some fun at the Chicago airport. It sure looks like they are clocking in a few extra hours of training before the competition with the resources available at the airport. In this case, the auto walk is all they need. Since it moves, the travelator gives the illusion of the boys actually rowing. We have to admit, it's pretty great to see all these youngsters enjoying the best years of their lives with harmless jokes. We hope they won their game.
A Dad Taking Good Care Of His Daughters At The Boarding Gate
There's a saying that goes, "a daughter is a mother's best friend." Judging by this photo, that isn't the case for a father. This man picked the wrong place to fall asleep, especially knowing that his daughters had sticker cards with them. As you can see, they've turned their dad into a masterpiece by putting stickers all over his arms. In a way, the man is lucky he wasn't woken up by security because of all the littering this project might have caused. Also, we hope the mother was around because the father seems to be in a deep sleep, not in a position to take care of his daughters.
Transitting And Camping In One
Layovers are already annoying as they are (unless you're a business traveller), but its worse when the wait time is more than a few hours. The longest transits can go up to a whole day, and not many people can afford to stay at the airport hotels. This person improvised by bringing a camping tent with them to make their layover more comfortable. If you can do it in the great outdoors, why not at the airport? Plus, they were smart enough to set it up close to a charging station with access to a power outlet. Impressive!
The Perfect Bag For The Perfect Place
According to Reddit, this picture was snapped at an airport in Taipei. At first glance, you might not notice anything out of the ordinary in it. However, if you take a closer look at the bag on the woman's shoulder, you'll read, "this bag contains a gun, a bomb, a very large knife, and loads of drugs." Our first thought was that this woman probably doesn't know what it says, considering Taipei isn't an English-speaking country. Either way, the airport security must have dug through her belongings quite intensely because they can't take a chance laughing it off.
Traveling With A Woman Be Like
It's no secret that women need more luggage space for a two-day trip than a man would for a whole week. Someone on the internet thought this photo would hilariously depict that when in reality, this is the airport handling the baggage of the travelers. Of course, we've never seen anything like it before. But the suitcases are somehow piled up to the roof and are hanging by a thread. It couldn't have been safe for those around to stand very close to this baggage cart. Hopefully, it was resolved before anyone got hurt.
New Human Scanner At The Airport?
It's pretty easy to assume from this misleading image that these security officers are forcing a rather large person through a luggage scanner. You might also be inclined to think that this airport actually got a new full-body human scanner that requires people to lie down, instead of the plain old ones you could just walk through. It can't be either. We're guessing there was a technical error with the luggage scanner, and the officers summoned the technician to repair it. Well, that makes more sense than the bizarre thought of putting a human in a luggage scanner.
When You're In A Hip Hop Mood
Whoever was behind this signboard was either on their last day at work or was willingly walking to their deaths. What you see on the screen here is definitely not an example of an official announcement, but rather a message mixed with some Beastie Boys' hip hop vibes. Wait, did the band break into the control room of the airport? Just kidding. While this may have been a funny sight for some passengers, not everyone enjoys sarcasm. We assume whoever did this no longer works at the airport.
Guess Why Your Baggage Isn't At The Belt Yet
While it's necessary to enjoy your work, it's equally important to be productive. Idling during work hours doesn't sit well with your superiors, especially during evaluations. We sincerely hope these guys were playing with these traffic cones during their break and not while working. If it was the latter, then that explains why we sometimes our baggage takes very long to arrive at the collection belt. You know, those times when the same pink bag keeps circling around the belt, but your suitcase is nowhere to be seen.
Lack Of Food In The Flight
Have you ever taken a flight during which you asked for an extra bag of peanuts, and the flight attendant responds saying they've run out? Well, now you know who has been eating your peanuts. Somehow, these two guys look like they're enjoying a full meal before stocking the food into the flight. We're guessing this isn't a part of their job description, but no one can work effectively when hungry. It seems like these men also contribute to flight delays sometimes. Hopefully, they didn't get fired after the bosses saw this photo.
When You Don't Want To Miss Your Workouts
If you are a gym-addict who doesn't miss a day of workouts, going on holiday may be a bit off-putting. Well, this guy wasn't ready to give up his workouts just because he had to spend a few extra hours at the airport due to a delay. He started lifting the whole row of seats with a woman seated in the corner of it. Judging by the woman's face, there's a good chance it's his wife. It's not bad to have a funny partner, don't you think? We hope this didn't put a strain on their trip.
What A Daring Pilot
Pilots are too cool for school. And it doesn't matter whether they're the Tom Cruise in Top Gun kind or John Travolta in Look Who's Talking Now kind. Just look at this pilot leaning out of his cockpit window to get a selfie with the man-made Palm Island archipelago off the coast of Dubai. Isn't it just incredible? But is it safe to open a cockpit window mid-flight? Well, apparently, it is at a low altitude and with a depressurized cabin. As a matter of fact, the reason these windows open is to provide an emergency escape route for pilots.
Anything To Keep The Little Ones Quiet
Airports are one of the most common places to spot kids throwing a tantrum or having a full-blown meltdown before they've even boarded the plane. It's a pretty common occurrence for parents to lug their kids around with the bags, which is way better than being around a grumpy, screaming, and crying child.
Who'd want that while they're waiting to board their flight or trying to rest their eyes during a transit? When you're a parent, you must be willing to do anything it takes to keep your child from unleashing hell in public, and this dad is clearly doing it right by taking his daughter on a little joyride.
The Wrong Place To Stowaway
Of course, this pilot has no reason to stowaway on her own flight, and yes, this is a very cool picture. Luckily for her, she is the only one who can turn on the plane, so she doesn't have to worry about it suddenly switching on while she's sitting there. The most common spot for stowing away is in the wheels. As a matter of fact, it's happened so often that it has its own Wikipedia page. To prove it: the first recorded wheel stowaway happened on 7 August 1946, where an Indonesian 12-year-old named Bas Wie survived a flight to Darwin in Australia. He naturalized there in 1958 and married.
Reporting For Booty Ma'am
Being a part of the US Armed Forces is a major honor for Americans. It's much more than a Noddy badge and is a reason to be respected. But it's also a hard job, going towards the danger and leaving loved ones behind, for sometimes indefinite periods. This is probably why Mrs. Neal in the picture is so demanding with her poster... she must have really missed her man. Meanwhile, Mr. Neal must have gotten a good deal on his flight home, considering he has options on some great flight and accommodation deals thanks to his status as a member of the US Armed Forces.
The Solution for Flying During the COVID-19 Pandemic?
When the COVID-19 pandemic hit and the entire world came to a standstill, the biggest industry affected was probably the travel industry. Even major companies like Virgin Atlantic tried to file for bankruptcy because it couldn't take the hit that all the travel bans were causing. This seems like a great solution to keep safe while traveling. With all possible infection points covered, he could easily have pitched this as a countermeasure to the threats of the coronavirus. The only problem is, he's going to have to scratch sooner or later.
Emotional Support Falcons
This image may seem weird, but it's not uncommon for people to bring support animals on flights. But while blind people have guide dogs, what purpose does a falcon serve? In the United Arab Emirates, the falcon is the national bird and a symbol of strength and hope. They are also ideal hunting animals. Emiratis often take falcons on flights with them, and it's actually pretty common to find flights that allow falcons. There is a catch. They're mostly for domestic flights to other Arab states, and certain airlines have rules for the number of falcons, how they are transported, and where they can be in the cabin.
No Overweight Baggage Please
Even though you know that traveling as light as you can is a handy way to get through those crowded check-in queues at the airport, some people just can't help but max out on their baggage limit. Carrying a whole human being in a suitcase is not only exceeding your carrier weight allowance but is illegal.
The woman in this photo is actually protesting just that by squeezing herself into a transparent suitcase that has stickers on it. The left sticker translates to "stop human trafficking," while the other is a logo of a human rights organization named Amnesty International. It looks like she successfully attracted everyone's attention.
How High?
Ah yes, the Mile High Club. How can we do a story about airports and airplanes and not mention the most prestigious social club in flying circles? Of course, this isn't saying anything about the flight attendant in the image; she is just pulling a very alluring pose. Plus, she's pretty much off the hook since a 2010 survey indicated that only 3% of Americans claim to have been intimate with an airline staff member mid-flight. Meanwhile, 17% say they joined the club via the airplane bathroom, which is awkward, considering that one does not simply sneak another person into the bathroom. Ah, well, we're all adults, right.
Sushi Addict On-Board
It looks like someone is a big sushi fan, judging by the luggage cover. Well, that wouldn’t be so helpful at all once that sushi craving hits you. Still, they look adorable and delicious on those pieces of luggage. It makes a traveler think about ordering some, and even discount hotels must have that at its restaurant, right?
Is She Still Breathing?
Waiting for long hours due to flight delays will have anyone dying to go for a quick nap. Airport hotels don’t go for a cheap price, so most people just spend their time waiting inside the airport. This girl perfectly represents most of us – tired after traveling on a budget. When tiredness hits you, just use that luggage and you’re in for a ride!
Forget Dignity - We Need Some Shuteye
It looks like those vacation packages didn't include access to a much nicer airport lounge. This may look uncomfortable but for them, it’s a cheaper option which is more convenient. Well, maybe next time they'd have more luck in having timely flights or shorter waiting time.
Vacation No-No!
Remember when coming home after having a well-spent vacation deal, you try to avoid bringing things that are extremely prohibited from the airport. Obviously, you’re familiar with the most banned items: firearms, knives, gas, canisters, and anything that risks safety. However, they also include strange items you most likely carry from your pleasure trip such as snow globes, as the water content can be replaced with explosive liquid. Stinky food also made it to the no-no list, such as an exotic tropical fruit called Durian.
Slippery Detour
You can’t miss cheap flights during the winter season, but take note that when it gets a little bit icy, it also gets tricky to fly an airplane. Just like what happened in this aircraft - it seems it got too slippery and the pilot had a little bit of a detour (perhaps, the pilot needs more training?). Don’t worry, experienced pilots know how to take care of extreme weather conditions with the help of advanced technology.
Welcome Home, Mum!
Leaving your kids for a business trip, instead of an all-inclusive vacation, can be hard enough, but that doesn't mean all will be peachy upon your return. Pictured above are two kids welcoming their mom home, however, the mom probably wished she stayed longer after seeing the sign they put up. Jokes aside, without a doubt, the mother burst out laughing and we bet she missed her two little boys.
Costumes Aren't Prohibited; Wear Your Best One!
We’re still trying to figure out what this guy had in mind after putting on a costume like that at the airport. Well, it just goes to show you can have loads of fun wherever you want to. Do you think he just did it for fun or he lost a bet? Our best guess is that there's a theme waiting for him at his destination, perhaps one of those south beach hotels that he has booked...
Build Your Own Room
Let’s be honest, why would you still look for cheap hotel rooms if you can just build your own one inside the airport? Hands down for this guy being resourceful and all amidst flight delays. So, why not right? That’s an instant accommodation right over there.
When Inspection Gets Suspicious
Surprisingly, luggage isn’t the only thing that passes the airport X-ray machine. In this scenario, the TSA probably wanted to look at something inside his body or this guy just thought it’s a metal detector. It was a good practical joke, and we just hope the X-ray machine didn’t cause anything inside his body that would have him claim from his travel insurance.
Snakes On The Plane?
We know waiting in line could be the worst thing and it gets even worse when you’re waiting outside for your plane and its nowhere to be seen. We’re thinking of all the possible scenarios here. Probably, a Snakes On A Plane kind of scenario or the plane is simply under repair. The only question here is, why are they waiting outside?! But then again, most of them might be saying to themselves -"This is what I get for booking the cheapest last-minute flights!"
Warning: Severe Weather Area
This is probably the first time that airport personnel put the right sign in the restroom area, don’t you think? Sometimes, when that weight loss supplement hits you at an unfortunate time, that’s just the right sign. And of course, you wouldn't want to spoil your best all-inclusive vacation deals with an upset stomach. This sign is a great warning for people who are attempting to go inside.
Surprise, Bro!
Aside from your friends, it’s probably your family who’s great at surprises. A perfect example is this person who's supposedly being welcomed by an excited family member or friend, with a surprise sign. Well, whether it's meant to be a joke or a serious remark, then we're sure the objective has been met - for the world to know what the poor guy has been through! Well, we're sure he's gotten over it, especially if the vacation was what he needed.
Sushi & Penguins on the Side!
Well, another sushi airport invasion has been reported and now it comes with penguins on the side! Who knows, maybe it’s a part of the food in the vacation package the traveler availed of and couldn’t get over it. That’s another sushi addict spotted! The penguins? We still don’t know what are they for.
The Expert In Sleeping Award Goes To...
If there’s an expert in sleeping or sleeping while traveling, then this guy would be it. He seems to have mastered the art of deep slumber without making any false move. Why sacrifice comfort if there are last-minute hotel deals you can check out?
I Can’t Speak Yet So Here’s A Sign Instead
Cole Tesar, a soldier who just got home from Bellevue, was welcomed by a cute surprise. It turns out, his baby girl, whom he hasn’t met personally yet, is waiting for him at the airport. Not only that, she even surprised his dad with a hilarious sign!
The Most Creative Call Sign
Here’s a great tip from this guy on how to welcome your straight friends at the airport. Every time he picks up his friends, he puts up a sign that asks them to marry him. While it might be a practical joke, for now, it might turn into a real wedding in the future. Well, that could also be seen as a proposal that doesn't cost you any money.
Ready For Delays
The worst scenario you could ever experience in the airport are those hectic long delays and cancellation of flights. When those unfortunate times happen, you have to make sure you’re always ready. While some get lucky with getting huge hotels discount, there are those who just choose to stay at the airport. For this guy, comfort is still a priority so he decided to put up his hammock. (Great strategy!)
No Eating Carpet
When you’re stuck at the Chennai airport in India and you feel hungry, be reminded that YOU CANNOT EAT THE CARPET. Perhaps the airport management had a bad experience that made them put up the sign. In any case, when you happen to check into this airport, you can’t just eat that carpet especially if it’s not part of your flight package. We hope we’re clear on that.
Preventing The Invasion
So this is why that alien invasion hasn't been happening. Because instead of being taken to our leader, the aliens are being taken to these shoe shiners. They leave happy, with shiny armor, and don't feel the need to invade and make us their slaves. It's a win-win. But it appears that our last defense against alien invasion is in danger of being wiped out because people aren't dressing up for travel anymore. According to an article in USA Today, people are becoming more informal about travel and not wearing shiny shoes. Domestic flights could be different, though, since business travelers often still dress up.
Checking Everywhere
Heads up, if you’re hiding something inside your clothes (like keys, bank account passbook, etc), think about that for a second as they have a strict checking procedure. However, if you have great legs or a fit body, this might be the reason for this strict procedure. Kidding aside, these are mandatory checks for your safety.
Are You My Long-Lost Daughter?
Sometimes, there are scenarios in the airport where it seems like it’s from a movie. In this photo, we can’t help but wonder what these two ladies are discussing. One thing is sure, this airport personnel is giving her full attention to the nice old lady who's perhaps asking her some things - like maybe what hotels in the Key West could she recommend...
Cracking Some Bones
This is an example of how strict the airport checking procedure is. Actually, it looks like the personnel is giving him a massage therapy session instead of a check. Again, they really deserve much praise for providing this strict procedure for our safety.
Penguins Can Fly
Before you say penguins can’t fly, yes, we know but they can fly through an airplane. This penguin and a few more were saved from poachers by animal rescue and they flew from England to South Africa. Everyone in the plane loved them, as you can see, even the pilot is all smiles with one of them. Well, it’s not every day you get to have a penguin as a passenger.
The Irony in Airport Ads
Did you check that luggage of yours? You have to or else if they found something inside, we don’t think your travel insurance would cover that. Just follow that ad and declare everything inside. Like this luggage pictured above, it seems that there’s something inside...
Parking Problems
We think we’ve just figured out why NWA filed for bankruptcy. It probably started with a simple problem of parking. Passengers wouldn’t like to ride an airplane with a pilot who doesn’t know how to park. That’s a big no-no for us.
Too Tired To Move
There’s another guy on the list who, again, sacrificed his comfort and didn’t try his luck with hotel discounts. Well, maybe he did try, but he was probably too drunk or tired to move. Think about it though, he just gave us a new way of using the moving walkway.
No Durians
Durian, an Asian fruit, is commonly banned from airports, luxury hotels, taxis, and subways because of its distinctly pungent smell. Now, in this airport pictured above, they even made a specific signage prohibiting the fruit! We can’t blame them, something that smelly would probably annoy everyone inside an airplane. A big no-no!
Best Luggage So Far!
Here's a better alternative for lazy people, people on a wheelchair or perhaps someone who just want to claim your luggage faster. We found this photo of a guy with an electric luggage with wheels in the airport. This will definitely save us a lot of time. Now, just tell us where we can buy one!
Darth Vader’s Arrival
Have you seen every full movie of Star Wars? If yes, then you will definitely love this one. When Star Wars day is near, fans prepare the most bizarre way to celebrate the important day. However, these fans took it to the next level as there exists no law on forbidding anyone to dress in costumes. Without thinking much about the money to be spent, they came in at Denver International Airport dressed as Stormtroopers and Darth Vader. The Stormtroopers held a signage welcoming Darth Vader at the airport.
Dangerous, Obviously!
This particular signage warns people to stay away from arriving and departing aircraft even if it’s obviously dangerous. This signage was seen at St. Maarten’s Princess Juliana Airport and many people find it hilarious. We found it amusing too, however, reports say a woman died recently because of the powerful blast from the plane. Well, that’s enough reason for you to take the sign seriously especially if you don’t own a travel insurance.
Pet-friendly Indeed
Most places don’t allow us to bring our furry friends and we’re more used to signs that prohibit them. Well, that’s not the case for San Diego airport as animal care is also one of their utmost priorities. In fact, they put up a designated area for our little buddies and called it pet relief. Isn’t that adorable? It’s great that they also have an area for their relief after or before a long flight.
It Was A Gift From My Mom
This guy thought of a better security system for his luggage – by printing his face on it. Also, it probably helped him look for his luggage faster. Admit it or not, it’s very creative and original. Well, if you have a suitcase with your face on it, burglars would probably find it hilarious and move on to their next target.
Fitness First
It's a bummer when you have to miss your fitness routine for a flight. Well, for this guy, he decided to burn down sometime (and calories) by doing yoga at the airport. Experts really recommend keeping your body active if your flight would take some time. We think yoga is just the perfect solution for that.
